ARTIST STATEMENT

My body of work comprises different styles of fine art and commercial photography (digital conceptualization, abstract, landscape, portrait/fashion/glamour, and so on). As a filmmaker and photographer, my choice of composition conveys a kind of meditation on form, light, and space. By using deliberate restraint of details and mixing of vibrant colors, I often aim at generating a sense of balance as well as creating intriguing subject matter with suggestive meanings. My passion in photography lies in painting, through the lens, striking scenes that capture the unseen and meaningful moments that make a statement about our social life. I utilize both film and digital cameras to take pictures. Then, I incorporate composite elements and filters in post-production toward an intricate or a simplified final product . I have always nurtured the ability to see the beauty in all things whether natural or man-made. I studied professional photography to enhance some skills that I've always possessed. I do believe that I was born with the eye of a photographer.
